These are the configs for the Arch Linux and Hyprland desktop I use every day. I change the setup often enough that keeping it reproducible became more useful than keeping a pile of copied config files around.
Keeping it reproducible
GNU Stow links the tracked files into my home directory, so the live config and the repo are the same files. I link individual files instead of whole folders, which keeps applications from quietly writing new state into the repo.
Bash, fish, and Lua tie together the shell, desktop, launcher, notifications, and maintenance scripts. I also write down why unusual settings exist, especially when they work around an upstream bug.
One theme everywhere
Waybar, kitty, rofi, swaync, btop, hyprlock, Zed, Obsidian, and my RGB hardware all read from one palette directory.
matugen builds a palette from the current wallpaper, then templates map it to the same 26 Catppuccin colors each app expects. Changing one symlink retints the desktop without logging out.
The generator rejects partial themes and checks that the neutral colors stay in the right order. Apps that do not map cleanly to the shared palette keep their regular Catppuccin themes instead.
